Shira’s passion for fitness stems from her first passion - dance! As a dancer for almost 20 years, Shira encountered a number of frustrating injuries. Determined to make a speedy return to dancing, Shira used each setback to learn more about her body and how to use cross-training to heal and come back stronger than before. Rehab quickly turned into routine, and an unquenchable passion for fitness was born. Shira loves all types of fitness and is always looking for a new challenge. Pilates, weights, HIIT, Bikram yoga, tumbling, kettlebells - you name it!

In 2016, Shira took her love of fitness to the next level, and became a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). She currently teaches hundreds of students every week throughout NYC. She is a Shed Master at Crunch's HIIT boutique studio, the Sweatshed, and a coach at RX30 in Manhattan, in addition to freelance private training and consulting. Shira is proud to be a founding coach of Row House Tustin in Southern California, and has also taught at Chelsea Piers and BeFitNYC in NYC.

As an instructor, Shira is known for her versatility, her positive energy, her unique playlists, and her creativity. Don’t let her smile fool you though - she’s here to give you a kick-ass workout that will challenge both your body and your brain! A self-described “body nerd”, Shira loves to keep up to date with the latest trends in fitness and to find new and creative ways of challenging herself and her students.

Shira believes the best fitness routine is the one that makes YOU happy! If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking, because it’s out there just waiting for you! See you in class! :)
